Working Foreman
We’re looking for an experienced Working Foreman to lead construction projects and supervise the team on-site. The ideal candidate should have a solid construction background and be a strong leader. This role involves being hands-on, with the Foreman involved in construction tasks while overseeing daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Lead and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance and support to maximise productivity and efficiency.
- Assist with hands-on construction tasks as needed, including carpentry, masonry, or other trades, depending on project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other staff members to ensure clear understanding of project goals and expectations.
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and practices on-site, promoting a culture of safety among the team.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards, quality issues, and areas for improvement, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Manage materials and equipment, ensuring they are properly utilised and maintained throughout the project.
- Liaise with clients and address any concerns they may have regarding the project.
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement strategies for successful project completion.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Foreman or similar leadership role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Hands-on experience in construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or concrete work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
