Working Foreman

We’re looking for an experienced Working Foreman to lead construction projects and supervise the team on-site. The ideal candidate should have a solid construction background and be a strong leader. This role involves being hands-on, with the Foreman involved in construction tasks while overseeing daily operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
  2. Lead and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance and support to maximise productivity and efficiency.
  3. Assist with hands-on construction tasks as needed, including carpentry, masonry, or other trades, depending on project requirements.
  4. Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other staff members to ensure clear understanding of project goals and expectations.
  5. Monitor and enforce safety regulations and practices on-site, promoting a culture of safety among the team.
  6. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards, quality issues, and areas for improvement, taking corrective action as necessary.
  7. Manage materials and equipment, ensuring they are properly utilised and maintained throughout the project.
  8. Liaise with clients and address any concerns they may have regarding the project.
  9. Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement strategies for successful project completion.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Foreman or similar leadership role in the construction industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  3. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  4. Hands-on experience in construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or concrete work.
  5. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  6. Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  9. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Salary £40,000 - £50,000
Schedule

8 Hour Shift Monday to Friday

Experience Proven experience as a Foreman or similar leadership role in the construction industry.
Licence/Certification Driving License (required) + Reliable Transportation
