Labourer – Plasterer

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our plastering team as a Labourer. The Labourer will provide essential support the various stages of the plastering process, ensuring efficient and smooth operations on-site.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist plasterers with the preparation of surfaces for plastering, including cleaning, sanding, and applying bonding agents as directed.
  2. Mix plastering materials such as plaster, cement, and render according to specified ratios and consistency requirements.
  3. Transport and handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently to and from the worksite.
  4. Erect and dismantle scaffolding, platforms, and ladders as needed to access work areas, following safety protocols at all times.
  5. Apply plasterboard to walls and ceilings, cutting and fitting pieces as instructed by plasterers.
  6. Assist with the application of plaster coats, smoothing and levelling surfaces to achieve desired finishes.
  7. Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  8. Follow instructions from plasterers and supervisors closely, completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
  9. Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries on-site.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, reporting any issues or concerns promptly.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably in plastering or related trades.
  2. Basic knowledge of plastering techniques, materials, and tools is advantageous.
  3. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  4. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and convey instructions clearly.
  6. Willingness to learn and develop new skills under the guidance of experienced plasterers.
  7. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  8. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to and from job sites.

Salary £20,000 - £25,000
Schedule

8 Hour Shift Monday to Friday

Experience Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably in plastering or related trades.
Licence/Certification Driving License (required) + Reliable Transportation
