Labourer – Carpenter

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to join our team as a Carpenter Labourer. The Carpenter Labourer will provide essential support to carpenters during various stages of construction projects, ensuring seamless and effective progress on site.


  1. Assist carpenters with the setup and preparation of worksites, including moving materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
  2. Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to carpenter instructions and plans.
  3. Hold and support materials in place for cutting, nailing, or securing, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  4. Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and organised environment.
  5. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from vehicles and storage areas, following proper lifting and handling procedures.
  6. Assist with the installation of doors, windows, and hardware, including hinges, locks, and handles.
  7. Perform basic carpentry tasks such as sanding, staining, and finishing surfaces under the direction of carpenters.
  8. Follow instructions from carpenters and supervisors closely, completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
  9. Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries on-site.


  1. Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably in carpentry or related trades.
  2. Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools is advantageous.
  3. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  4. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand instructions clearly.
  6. Willingness to learn and develop new skills under the guidance of experienced carpenters.
  7. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  8. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to and from job sites.

Salary £20,000 - £25,000

8 Hour Shift Monday to Friday

Experience Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably in carpentry or related trades.
Licence/Certification Driving License (required) + Reliable Transportation
